English Week 4A
4A, Dezember 2015
From November 30th to December 4th we (4A) had a really cool project called "The English Week". It was like a language week, but instead of going abroad, a British teacher came to Linz and spent a week with us at GVP. His name is Ralph and he is a very friendly, nice and funny person!
We started the first day with playing a funny game to get to know each other. For five days we took part in great activities like doing interviews with our classmates or role-playing games. We also got lots of information about non-verbal communication, which means explaining words without speaking.
Of course we also repeated grammar and vocabulary. Already after the first day everyone spoke English during the breaks and some of us even started thinking in English!!
Last, but not least, we had a performance in front of our parents and some teachers in the "Pfarrsaal" of the "Friedenskirche" on Friday. Already on Monday we had formed two groups, which - with Ralph's help - practised different sketches the following days.
The whole class really enjoyed that unforgettable week and we would like to say a big THANK YOU to Ralph and our English teacher Mrs. Mitter, who had organized that great week for us. Our English is at a new level now ;-)
