Personal highlights

First I want to say, that for me this trip was amazing. We saw so many new
places and picked up a few new experiences. So my first highlight in England was
on the second day, I think. From the yha in Streatley we went to London by
train. There we did a lot of sightseeing and shopping. It was very stressful and
we didn’t have a lot of time to spend at the sights, but it was also very
interesting. There were places I would never have thought that they are so
beautiful. The second highlight, was the hiking trip to Lizard Point. When we
were hiking, I only thought “Oh my god” and at the Lizard Point it was amazingly
beautiful, too. My third personal highlight were the two days in Bath and
Cambridge: shopping, sightseeing and Julia’s birthday.
To conclude this, I spent a great time in England, with very nice people. I will
never forget this trip. I can only say “Thank you” to those, who were involved.

It´s quite hard for me to pick out three of my favourite sights because Iliked nearly everything we looked at.
Canterbury Cathedral was the Cathedral that impressed me the most on our trip
through South England. Our guide presented it in a very interesting way which
made us listening to him much more. All the 800-year-old windows and the
Martyrdom were very beautiful.
Winchester was also really attractive to me. Not only because I had my
presentation about the Winchester Rugby Club in the coach. Furthermore
Winchester castle with the worldwide known round table was impressive.
I love thinking of London because it´s a very beautiful city with all the shops,
going by subway and all the eating possibilities. The only thing why I prefer
Linz to London is the stressful way of living in London. So many people, so
little space.

My
highlights:
1) Tintagel
Tintagel is a mystic place, and the weather was
perfect. Wind, fog and a kind of dull atmosphere. Many funny and lovely pictures
were taken, mostly due to the intense wind.
2) Surfing
Surfing in Sennen Cove was probably the most
exciting thing about the whole week. Despite the fact that the ocean was
freaking cold, we had tons of fun. It was a new experience, and totally
different from what I've known so far.
3) Stratford upon Avon
Stratford is an interesting place to be. Seeing
Shakespear's birthplace and Anne Hathaway's cottage was impressing. We also saw
a short scene of Romeo&Juliet, performed by local actors.

London. I really liked the city, the underground stations and Oxford Street. But the funniest part on that day was that we had lots of time to go shopping and so on, but most of the girls, including me, nearly missed the train back to our youth hostel. We ran through the London streets. Fortunately we are a sports class.
Exeter. I badly enjoyed the visit at this small and friendly city. Not at all because of the amusing people … ;)
Kynance Cove is a beautiful and nice place to chill out and enjoy the breathtaking landscape.
